AscenLink is an edge device that sits at the intranet/internet boundary. It can be used in the following ways:

As a “point-to-network” device improving internet access performance
As “point-to-point” or “point-to-multipoint” devices that connect diverse enterprise LANs (an intranet)
Using sophisticated load balancing techniques, AscenLink allows significant increases to internet access bandwidth by aggregating multiple inexpensive access lines into larger virtual pipes. By using patented Tunnel Routing techniques, AscenLink utilizes inexpensive internet access lines to duplicate the bandwidth of much more expensive, high-speed dedicated leased lines between corporate LANs, replacing or enhancing existing VPNs.
The use of multiple links together with AscenLink supports much higher reliability. The failure of any access line reduces the available bandwidth, but does not stop all connectivity as the failure of a single leased line would.
